At last report, Washburn was working in the mortgage business in the D-FW Area

During his time at N.C. State, he was caught stealing a stereo, which resulted in him being sentenced to 46 hours in jail, a five-year suspended prison term and five years of probation. During his trial, the Wake County district attorney introduced as evidence Washburn's SAT scores, which were below 500 (out of 1600, with 400 being the starting score).

Our human responsibility is not just to identify the flaws and simply state, "There are flaws." It is to grab the system with both hands and shake it until it doesn't rattle anymore. Or until our arms tire. Communism (CLEARLY) is not the answer, but to suggest that our capitalism is and that we should just continue blindly trusting it ignores the same logic that forces us to reject communism. That blind trust ignores our reality and undermines our collective well-being.
